coding guidelines: comply with MISRA C:2012 Rule 4.1 



MISRA C:2012 Rule 4.1 (Octal and hexadecimal escape sequences shall be
terminated.)

Use string literal concatenation to properly terminate hexadecimal
escape sequences.
