## 主讲人简介
孟建,复旦大学教授,中国传播学会副会长,国家社科基金评审委员会委员,复旦大学国家文化创新研究中心主任、视觉文化研究中心主任。孟建教授在国际传播、文化战略、艺术研究等领域有着厚重的理论积淀与丰富的实践经验。已发表学术论文百余篇,出版学术著作二十余部,创作了一批影视艺术作品。主持了包括两项国家社科基金重大项目在内的国家及省部级项目数十项。孟建教授作为首席专家,对接国家发展重大战略,参加了多项国家重大活动、主场外交等方面的研究、策划和传播工作,多次受到重要奖励和表彰,如主持了“2008 奥运会:中国形象塑造与传播战略研究”、“2010 世博会:上海形象竞争战略研究”、“G20 杭州峰会:杭州新形象建构与传播战略研究”、“金砖会晤:厦门形象设计与传播策略研究”、“亚洲文明对话大会策划与论证”等。

Wanbin Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. from East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) in 1985 and 1988, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. at Osaka University in 1997 under the supervision of Prof. Isoo Ikeda. Following his Ph.D., he remained at Osaka University as an Assistant Professor until 2001, after which he continued his career as a Research Fellow at Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation in 2003. Since 2003, he has been a professor in the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He was promoted to Distinguished Professor in 2013 and subsequently appointed as Chair Professor in 2021, followed by the K. C. Wong Chair Professor in 2025. He has been appointed as Director of Shanghai key laboratory for Molecular Engineering of Chiral Drugs since 2017. He has long been engaged in fundamental and applied research in the field of asymmetric catalysis. He has published more than 300 research papers in internationally peer-reviewed journals including Science, Nat. Chem., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem.; with over 70 patents granted in China and abroad. Several asymmetric catalytic technologies derived from his discoveries have already been applied in industry. He was elected as an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the Chinese Chemical Society, National High-Level Talent Special Support Programs (10,000 Talents Program) - Distinguished Teacher, and a Shanghai Model Worker. He received the National Natural Science Award (2nd class, 2023), the first class prize of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award (2022), and the Baosteel Outstanding Teacher Special Prize (2024).

We have focused on asymmetric catalysis from the viewpoint of activity and selectivity for more than 20 years and developed a series of novel chiral ligands or catalysts and highly efficient asymmetric catalytic systems based on angle control and synergistic promotion strategies, respectively. The research achievements included: 1) the development of novel chiral bicyclic imidazole organocatalysts, which were applied for the first example of the catalytic asymmetric synthesis of P-stereogenic phosphoric acid derivatives; 2) the development of several novel bimetallic catalytic systems, which were applied for the first example of stereodivergent dual catalysis involving two metal catalysts; 3) the synergistic catalytic effect of CH···HC weak attractive interactions between the chiral ligand and the substrate was found to be crucial for reactivity and stereocontrol in rare or earth-abundant metal-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation. Importantly, key technological breakthroughs have been achieved for the industrial synthesis of several important chiral compounds, such as the fragrance including Menthol, Carvone and Camphorenal, antimalarial drug Artemisinin, anti-tuberculosis drug Bedaquiline, anti-epileptic drug Brivaracetam, and antiviral drug Remdesivir. Subsequent, the first production line of Menthol with an annual output of ten thousand tons in China has been built by Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd and the first asymmetric catalytic production line of bedaquiline and brivaracetam in the world has been built by Aurisco and Aurisco Pharmaceutical. In addition, Wanxiang Technology Co., Ltd. has built a production line with an annual output of >3,000 tons including (R)-Carvone, Carvacro, Campholenic aldehyde, Brahmanol etc.
