Specifically, this course aims to help the students:

 Understand Anthropology’s engagement with cultural values, value change, and related value concern

encountered in social life.

理解人类学家如何研究价值观、价值观变化以及价值观在社会生活中的重要影响。

 Develop comprehensive understanding of the role of values, experience, and practice in shaping processes of

social transformation and cultural change.

理解价值观、经历和实践在社会发展进程和文化变迁中扮演什么样的角色。

 Master theoretical tools provided by the emerging anthropology of values for analyzing and understanding

social life in many societies in the contemporary world.

 学会运用人类学中关于价值观的理论去分析和理解当今世界不同社会的人类生活。

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to
