教学目标 Course Objectives
本课通过对中国古代的衣食住行,也即物质生活方式及其在不同历史时期的演变之讨论,引导学生从物质生活的侧面理解
This course aims to examine Chinese cultural history
through a series of discussions on topics of material daily life, such as the ways Chinese dressed, dieted, lived and
travelled in the traditional China. The objectives of the course are to guide and encourage students to explore and
acquire better understanding of the meanings and mindset of Chinese popular culture and everyday life style in the
context of traditional periods.

预达学习成果 Learning Outcomes
本课程预期让学生掌握以下技能和知识:
1、了解传统中国日常文化形态与相关社会、经济等历史语境的互动过程;
2、理解传统中国日常生活中的价值观和心态,反思当代中国人的物质生活形态;
3、提升独立调查和批判性思考的能力。
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
1. To comprehend the interaction between traditional Chinese daily material life and relevant social and economic
context;
2. To better understand traditional Chinese value and mindset in daily material life, and to reflect on the contemporary
Chinese material life style;
3. To promote the ability of independent study and critical thinking.
