教学目标 Course Objectives

Specifically, this course aims to:

 Enable students’ understanding of the subject area of International Relations.

 Instill in students a thorough knowledge of the major concepts and themes in International Relations.

 Develop students’ capability to analyze global issues using different conceptual frameworks of International

Relations.

 Train students in finding sources to study International Relations and develop student’s capabilities to write

academic papers.

After studying this course, students should be able to:

 Understand the historical evolution of the discipline of International Relations.

 Identify major institutions of the conduct of the International Relations and understand its impact on national

security and development.

 Differentiate different value systems existing in International Relations and its impact on the conduct of

international relations.

 Differentiate the historical roots of the different arguments in International Relations.

 Comprehend International Relations vocabulary and concepts.

 Write short scholarly essays with proper citation.
