教学目标 Course Objectives
Specifically, this course aims to:
Enable students’ understanding of the subject area of International Relations.
Instill in students a thorough knowledge of the major concepts and themes in International Relations.
Develop students’ capability to analyze global issues using different conceptual frameworks of International
Relations.
Train students in finding sources to study International Relations and develop student’s capabilities to write
academic papers.

After studying this course, students should be able to:
Understand the historical evolution of the discipline of International Relations.
Identify major institutions of the conduct of the International Relations and understand its impact on national
security and development.
Differentiate different value systems existing in International Relations and its impact on the conduct of
international relations.
Differentiate the historical roots of the different arguments in International Relations.
Comprehend International Relations vocabulary and concepts.
Write short scholarly essays with proper citation.
