教学目标 Course Objectives
Specifically, this course aims to:
Broaden students’ knowledge and understanding of world regions and their cultural and physical landscape,
Cultivate an appreciation of the diversity of cultural and physical landscapes around the world and how those
landscapes are interrelated,
Develop students’ geographic perspective and provide opportunities for them to apply it to current events and
the world around them,
Help students develop an international horizon and a critical understanding of how the increasing connection of
the world affect places and people’s lives.

After studying this course, students should be able to:
Become conversant with the cultural and physical landscapes in major world regions,
Synthesize and explain world events and cultures using a geographic perspective,
Learn how to make maps to cultivate a better sense of places and spatial relations,
