教学目标 Course Objectives
民族志电影是一种特殊的电影类型。本课程通过对系列民族志电影的赏析，让学生了解世界文化的多样性，以及民族志电
影展现他者文化的视角和手段。同时借助具体的影像材料，介绍文化人类学历史，民族志研究方法和当代民族志电影关注
的热点问题。
Ethnographic film is a special genre of modern film-making. This course will introduce human cultural diversities to
students through showing of a variety of ethnographic films and by analyzing perspectives and techniques employed by
filmmakers to represent cultures of the Other. This course will also use visual materials to discuss issues related to
history of anthropology, methods of ethnographic research as well as hot topics of contemporary ethnographic film-
making.

1. 了解民族志电影的起源，发展和特性；
2. 了解文化多元性，培养文化宽容态度，批判种族中心主义；
3. 了解民族志研究方法。
-Become knowledgeable of the origin, development and characteristics of ethnographic films.

本课程共 8 讲，每讲 2 学时，共计 16 学时。影片将在每次课前分享在云盘，布置给学生提前观看；
课上以回放片段的形式对电影内容进行解析，并组织学生讨论。

讨论：西方殖民主义者对土著人的理解，社会达尔文主义和种族中心主义解剖
第二讲：民族志方法的兴起
电影： 《走下露台》 （Off the Verandah）
讨论：人类学早期历史；民族志方法的缘起和实践
第三讲：文化全景展示
电影：《北方的纳努克》（Nanook of the North）
讨论：早期民族志电影，真实与建构
第四讲：社会组织和经济生活
电影：《昂卡的盛宴》（The Kawelka: Ongka’s Big Moka）

第五讲：印第安人的命运
