教学目标 Course Objectives
本课程融纪录片的历史、理论和实际制作为一体，通过视觉和多感官渠道启发学生探索文化社会的多样性。课程不仅
将勾勒世界及中国纪录片发展的沿革，而且将着重讲授对纪录片发展与制作带来重要影响的社会和文化动力。在观摩世界
和中国经典纪录片的同时，学生们将学习构思、拍摄和编辑短纪录片、图片序列或多媒体作品。该课程总体旨在促发学生
通过纪录片认识社会和文化、并学会以影像的手段纪录和再现社会和文化、通过影像表达观点。
Combining history, theory, and the practice of making ethnographic films, this course will inspire students to explore the
cultural diversity through visual and multisensory approaches. During the course, students will investigate not only the
historical innovations of documentary filmmaking but also recent developments in social and cultural politics that
challenges the making of documentary films. Through selected readings and by watching exemplary works, students will
be encouraged to produce their own short films, photo essays and multimedia productions, and in the process discover
how filmmaking contributes new knowledge to the understanding of human society.

预达学习成果 Learning Outcomes
本课程预期让学生掌握以下知识和技能：
识别世界和中国的重要纪录片类型，了解纪录片的发展史。
通过观看和认识纪录影像，以理解纪录片的方法、伦理和理论。
学会基本的纪录片拍摄和编辑技能，并尝试以影像嫁接文字，表达一定的主题思想。
Upon successful completion, students will be able to:
Identify the typical genres of international as well as Chinese documentary films and the historical development of
documentary.
Understand the methodological, ethical and theoretical concerns of documentary through watching important films and
photographs.
Develop basic skills of video-audio recording and editing as well as combining visual material with texts.
