教学目标 Course Objectives
本课程是一门公共课，面向全校各个专业。本课程的目的是在融汇学生的专业知识，拓展学生的知识面的前提下，了解有
关城市的历史和演变、城市的结构、类型、功能方面的知识，激发学生对我们生存的环境空间的理解和关注，对城市生活
和城市文化的关注，对社会工作的热情，调动学生探索和研究城市问题的能动性和积极性，培养学生的问题意识，提升学
生观察能力和综合研究的能力。
City Studies is a multidisciplinary undergraduate program that introduces skills and concepts to the students to learn
more about cities：history , forms and structures of cities, culture（memory and myth） and representation of city,
relationship between power and space, time and space of city, every life of city(metropolitan life), ecological and cultural
crisis of modern city etc. Moreover, this course will help students understand cultural and aesthetic evaluation criteria
and be aware of tackling problems of an increasingly urban world.
The City Studies curriculum has three areas of concentration: City-Building, City-culture, and City aesthetics.

市的状态进行比较科学的评估。
