Course Objectives
本课程旨在帮助学生了解材料科学与工程领域前沿性研究,拓宽学生的知识面和学术视野,培养其学科敏锐性和创新
能力。通过一系列的讲座,学生们将了解最新的材料科学理论、新型的加工技术及工艺,以及材料科学与工程领域尖
端的先进研究。
This course is in the form of seminar series and aims to highlight the advanced research in fields of
materials science and engineering. This course is designed to broaden students’ knowledge of materials
science and engineering, focuses on theories, novel processing methods and the cutting edge research in
materials science and engineering.

Teaching Methods
Weekly/biweekly seminars on frontiers of materials science and engineering.
每周或每两周安排一次材料科学与工程领域的前沿讲座。
Professors with high reputation in the field of materials science and engineering will be invited to
deliver lectures and share their research experiences with the student.
本课程将邀请材料科学与工程领域颇负盛名的专家教授来校为学生们开展学术讲座并分享他们的科研经历。
Students insights will be highly broadened through seminars with high quality, and their research
interests will be greatly motivated by face-to-face communication with well-known experts in the
related areas.
高品质的学术讲座将会极大地拓宽学生们的学术视野,与本领域知名专家面对面的交流也会进一步激发学生们的
研兴趣。

Course Contents
Section 1
Each invited professor will deliver an one- or two-hour seminar on frontiers of
materials science and engineering.
每位专家将会与工沿课个小

For each semester, at least 18 professors will be invited to give lectures.
每个学期计划邀请至少 18 位专家教授来校开展本领域学术前沿讲座。
