教学目标 Course Objectives
1. 第一部分主要讲授高等教育功能论、阶段论、组织论、学科论、学术职业论、学生发展论、大学
财政论。让选课学生了解高等教育以及大学的特性。
2. 第二部分讲授美国、欧洲三国(德国、英国、法国)、金砖四国高等教育发展的现状及其改革,
归纳出其具有的国别特征。让选课学生了解高等教育发展的国际状况与经验。
3.在前两部分的基础上,第三部分从教师本人的研究角度,报告研究型大学的特征和世界一流大学排
名状况,并对中国高等教育的改革与发展进行理论与实践的反思。让学生理解中国高等教育在世界
高等教育体系中的位置,理解南方科技大学建设世界一流研究型大学的重要意义。
1.The first part mainly teaches the higher education function theory, the stage theory, the
organization theory, the discipline theory, the academic profession theory, the student development
theory, the university finance theory. Let students understand the characteristics of higher
education and universities.
2.The second part teaches the current status and reform of higher education development in the
United States, three European countries (Germany, Britain, France) and the four BRIC countries,
and summarizes its national characteristics. Let the students know the international status and
experience of higher education development.
3.Based on the first two parts, the third part reports the characteristics of research universities and
the ranking of world-class universities from the perspective of teachers' own research, and makes
theoretical and practical reflections on the reform and development of higher education in China.
Let students understand the position of Chinese higher education in the world higher education
system, and understand the significance of SUSTech to build a world-class research university.

1.帮助学生充分认识自己在高等教育阶段努力学习的重要性,如此可利于学生理解大学学习、大学
生活,以及在大学期间为毕业后的社会发展应作的准备。
2.帮助学生了解欧美国家高等教育发展状况,特别是目前的改革状况,知道中国高等教育的世界位
置,以明了肩上的责任。

1.Helping students fully understand the importance of studying hard in higher education, university
study and university life, and prepare for the social development after graduation.
2.Helping students understand the development of higher education in European and American
countries, especially the situation of reform, the position of China’s higher education in the world
and their responsibility.

第一周:功能论(2 学时)
详述高等教的功能与大学的职能及其发展,如,大学教学、科研、服务职能在世界范围的
现与发展。
第二周:阶段论(2 学时)
详述高等教育发展的三阶段,即,高等教育的精英化、大众化、普及化的形成、发展与判断。
第三周:组织论(2 学时)
详述现代大学组织及其结构,如,大学作为学术性组织的特性、结构与层级分布等。
第四周:学科论(2 学时)
系。
第五周:学术职业论(2 学时)
详述大学教师从事的是学术职业,并专题报告学术职业所具有的九大特性。
第六周:学生发展论(2 学时)
详述学生为什么上大学,上大学对学生增加知识、提高能力、发展人格的作用。
第七周:大学财政论(2 学时)
详述大学的财政来源与开支范畴,专题报告大学与经费的关系,大学与市场的关系等。
第八周:课堂中段讨论(2 学时)
要求 50%的学生参与“本科生论大学”的讨论。
第九周:美国高等教育与大学的独特性(2 学时)
讲述育、的简、特国高功的
奥秘。
第十周:欧洲高等教育的国别特点(2 学时)
讲述德国、英国、法国高等教育及其大学发展的简要历史、成就、特征。
第十一周:欧洲高等教育的一体化进程(2 学时)
专题报告“欧洲高等教育一体化进程”,涉及高等教育的国别特性和整合性改革。
第十二周:金砖国家高等教育特点(2 学时)
BRICS 中国之外巴西、俄罗斯、印度、南非四国高等育发展的简史和现时代
征。

第十三周:研究型大学的特征(2 学时)
专题报告世界研究型大学的 120 年,主要涉及研究型大学的历史形成、外在判断、内在特征。
第十四周:世界一流大学及其排名(2 学时)
专题学排、权点,择学一起界大
名”进行“元评价”。
第十五周:中国高等教育发展反思(2 学时)
教师高等究的对中教育历史国际育发
经验和教训的反思和比较。
第十六周:学生讨论“我所理解的中国高等教育在世界体系中的位置”(2 学时)

Week 1: On Functions (2 Credit Hours)
The function of higher education and the function and development of university, such as the
emergence and development of university teaching, research and service functions in the world.
Week 2: On Developmental Stages (2 Credit Hours)
The three stages of the development of higher education, these are, the formation, development
and judgment of the elite, mass and universal higher educations.
Week 3: On Organization (2 Credit Hours)
Academic organization and its structural characteristics, such as the nature, structure and level
distribution of the university as an academic organization.
Week 4: On Discipline (2 Credit Hours)
The existence and development of disciplines, including the differentiation and synthesis of
disciplines, the relationship between disciplines and universities, disciplines and teachers, are
described in detail.
Week 5: On Academic Profession (2 Credit Hours)
University faculty are doing academic profession. Academic Profession is with nine
characteristics.
Week 6: On Students’ Development (2 Credit Hours)
A detailed description of the reason why the students are going to college, the university has the
function of increasing knowledge, improving the ability and developing the personality of the
students.
Week 7: On University Finance (2 Credit Hours)
The financial source and expenditure category of the university, the relationship between the
university and the fund, the relationship between the university and the market, and so on.

Week 8: Discussion (2 Credit Hours)
50% of the students were asked to participate in the discussion about the topic "The University in
My Eyes".
Week 9: The Uniqueness of Higher Education and Universities in the U.S. (2 Credit Hours)
The brief history, achievements and characteristics of higher education in America and revealing
some mysteries of the success of higher education in the U.S..
Week 10: The Country Characteristics of Higher Education in Europe (2 Credit Hours)
The brief history, achievements and characteristics of higher education and their universities in
Germany, Britain and France.
Week 11: The Integration Process of Higher Education in Europe (2 Credit Hours)
A special report on the topic "The Integration Process of Higher Education in Europe" refers to
the national characteristics and integrated reform of higher education.
Week 12: The Characteristics of Higher Education in BRICS Countries (2 Credit Hours)
A brief history and characteristics of higher education in BRICS countries except China, such as
Brazil, Russia, India and South Africa.
Week 13: The Characteristics of Research University (2 Credit Hours)
A special report on Research University in 120 years which mainly involves the historical
formation, external judgment and internal characteristics of research universities.
Week 14: World-Class University and Rankings (2 Credit Hours)
A special report on the characteristics of four university rankings in the world. Students were
asked to make a meta-evaluation of the ranking of the world's university with teacher.
Week 15: Reflection on the Development of Higher Education in China (2 Credit Hours)
The instructor’s research results about Chinese higher education contain the history and key
points of development of higher education in China, the reflection and comparison of development
of international higher education.
Week 16: Discussion (2 Credit Hours)
50% of the students were asked to participate in the discussion about the topic “My
Understanding of the Position of China’s Higher Education in the World”.
