教学目标 Course Objectives
This course aims to demystify the writing process of scientific writing and introduce the fundamentals of effective
scientific writing. The course will be presented in three parts: part (1) teaches students the fundamentals of scientific
writing, part (2) teaches students how to write different parts of a scientific manuscript, and part (3) teaches students
how to improve scientific manuscripts. Instructions will focus on the process of writing. In this course, participants will
also learn how to analyse and summarize and be taken through the preparation of an actual scientific manuscript.
Students taking this course will be asked to complete some short writing and produce a scientific paper.

By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Know the fundamentals of good scientific writing by analysing published articles
Analyse, review and summarize scientific papers effectively
Enhance their revision skills and write stronger paragraphs with improved logic and organization
Present data effectively and write text that complements a table or figure
Develop effective self-editing strategies to improve their manuscripts and provide feedback to peers
Produce a complete scientific manuscript that conforms to the rules and format in a specific discipline
