教学目标 Course Objectives
To introduce the BP debate format and help prepare for English debating competitions.
To improve participants comprehensive abilities in listening, speaking, organizing, note taking, proposing questions,
refutation, defence and teamwork. In the study of these skills, influential yet controversial issues will be dealt with in the
hope that a critical thinking habit could be developed by the participants.
To improve students other English skills, such as public speaking, reading and writing.

By the end of this course, participants will understand basic principles of BP debate format; acquire English debating
skills and be able to think critically about influential and controversial issues.
