教学目标 Course Objectives
This course is designed for students who intend to take the new HSK level 3 and 4 respectively. In the course, students
will develop their Chinese vocabulary and grammar as preparation for the HSK test. The teacher will help students to
identify their language weaknesses after their self-assessments and provide targeted exercises for development.
Students will practice previous official HSK tests through online resources. At the end of the course, students will meet
the requirements of HSK-4 and build their self-learning abilities for HSK-5 or above tests.

预达学习成果 Learning Outcomes
The following skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing will be covered throughout the semester:
•
Understand the conversations and passages containing specific vocabulary and grammar points covered by the
HSK-3 and HSK-4
• Comprehend and listen to the speaker’s attitude and implication from the conversations in the listening section
•
Achieve 60% or above in the listening section of the HSK-4 exam
• Recognize and understand the required vocabulary and relevant sentences in the HSK-4 syllabus
• Read and comprehend the sentences, paragraphs and questions in the reading section, be able to complete
sentences/dialogues, answer questions according to the passages
• Achieve 60% or above in the reading section of the HSK-4 exam
• Be able to recall and write/type most of the required words in the HSK-4 syllabus
• Recognize and distinguish the function of most of the required words, be able to construct complete sentences and
describe specific pictures with the given words
• Achieve 60% or above in the writing section of the HSK-4 exam
