教学目标 Course Objectives
The course will help students to:
be familiar with the terms that are essential in the field of engineering for example, all engineers need to
discuss dimensions and tolerances, know the names of common materials, and describe how components are
fitted and fixed together.
learn the language for discussing and applying key engineering concepts for example, stress and
strain, work and power, and fluid dynamics.
improve their listening in technical discussions and lectures on the audio students will hear people in
the kinds of situation of problem-solving discussions.
build their vocabulary presented and practiced in professional contexts

After successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
apply listening strategies to promote better understanding of technical discussions and lectures
use the terms and the language in the field of engineering to enhance their scientific communication
